'The Secrets of Scaffold Design' 2-Day Course

Course Description

Helping to equip individuals, teams and organisations with scaffold design expertise to enable them to increase their knowledge base, improve their service level and win more business.


48.3 offers the only bespoke training programme to suit your industry needs. The course is taught in small groups, in a classroom style training programme over two days incorporating theoretical and practical examples. The course is delivered by expert tutors who are practicing scaffold design engineers, that have carefully designed the course to cater for different learning styles.

Who is the course suitable for?

  • If you work in or around scaffolding: Advanced Scaffolders, Supervisors, Contract Manager, Inspector, Health & Safety Advisor and Scaffold Business Owners.

  • If you are completing scaffolding design checks: consulting engineers, temporary works engineers, TWC's, main client bodies or anyone likely to assume Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

  • If you work for a Principal Engineer or Sub-Contractor and have scaffolding on your site, or if you manage scaffold and access as part of your job role.

  • If you are interested in scaffolding design and want to know more.

Scaffold Design Academy

We currently provide bespoke training for selected scaffolding contractors and other design consultancies wishing to develop their own technical departments or professionally train their existing staff. Our programmes are for 'Technical Design Draughtsmen' (One Year) or 'Design Engineers' (Two Years) and cover all aspects of scaffolding design. 

We will soon be adding more detail and information on these training programmes including course contents, strcuture, tutors, testimonials from past attendees and information on how to apply. These are training programmes are not publically available and are strictly by application only. 

We also provide mentoring and coaching to scaffolding design engineers working in the scafflding industry who want to develop their design expertise.
