Ivik Masek climbs Everest

After several months of intense training, 48.3’s Principal Engineer and Company Director, Ivik Masek has just embarked on one of his greatest challenges yet, a 15 day trek to the world famous Everest Base Camp in Nepal.

Not only will the trek involve long days of walking over steep and rocky terrain but Ivik will have to cope with the change in altitude as he climbs the whooping 5364 metres to base camp!

So why undertake such a gruelling challenge? Ivik is raising funds for ‘Candlelighters’ a charity aimed at providing practical, emotional and financial support to families facing children’s cancer.

Having had first hand experience of how this charity can help families at such difficult times, Ivik wants to be able to raise as much as possible.

Every penny can make a difference so if you would like to sponsor him please visit where you can make a donation online.

The 48.3 team wish Ivik the very best of luck!
